Going Places Economics (GPE) provides high-quality commentary on economic topics, from financial literacy to global trends analysis.

Founded by Courtney (M. Bellish) Smith in 2024, GPE seeks to provide modern and accessible solutions for understanding business, finance, or economics topics as a student, teacher, or professional learner. Going Places Economics is the successor to her original blog, The Economics Of (TEO) blog.

Courtney has her Master’s in Global Studies with a focus in International Economics & Consulting from Northeastern University. She also has a bachelor’s degree in business economics from Miami University. Additionally, she has studied Macroeconomics, International Law, and Philosophy at Harvard University and International Public Policy at the London School of Economics. As the Senior Assistant Director of Global Programs within Chicago Booth’s Executive Education department, Courtney specialized in finance and comprehensive management programming. She is eager to deliver superior educational commentary for learners of all backgrounds.
